The Founder & Tutor of SUSHRAAVYA SCHOOL OF MUSIC – Dr. V. Vijayalakshmi , has done her Master’s degree in Carnatic music (M. Music) through Madras University, and awarded with a Ph.D. degree in Bangalore University for her thesis on an unique topic “Globalization of Carnatic Music Through Electronic Media.”
She has participated in many music competitions in her schools & college & won many awards & prizes. She has also been a judge for inter-school & inter-college music competitions. She has been giving stage performances and also appeared in TV channels in Music programmes. Since 2008, she has been teaching CARNATIC MUSIC & Sanskrit shlokas ON LINE through Skype to students all over the World. She also holds a Master’s degree in English language, and a Master’s degree in Sanskrit language & has also done Kovida from Samskrita Bharati – A Sanskrit Institute & computer courses as well.
With the Professional qualification in Carnatic Music & also in 5 languages – English, Sanskrit, Kannada, Hindi & Tamil, she can teach CARNATIC music – ONLINE effectively using these languages to students abroad as well as in India, according to their mother tongue, for better communication.
Shlokas such as Vishnu Sahasranamam, Lalitha Sahasranamam, Bhagavat Geetha, Soundarya Lahari and any shloka preferred by a Student are systematically taught in Sushraavya School of Music.
Dr V Vijayalakshmi, having done a Master’s Degree in Sanskrit Language, facilitates students to pronounce Sanskrit words. with at most perfection. As you are aware, only when the words are pronounced properly, proper vibration is attained and benefit is derived. Any mistake may lead to having no benefits for students. Hence, the guidance is crucial.
